China Agricultural University (CAU), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of theUnited Nations, together with Conservation Tillage Research Center (CTRC) of China Ministry of Agriculture are delighted to invite policy makers, scientists, development and extension workers, graduate/post graduate students to attend and contribute to the 3-day international conference entitled “20 Years of Conservation Agriculture (CA) in China: Past experience and future prospects on small scale CA technologies” which will be held in Beijing, China on 19-21 November, 2012.
Conservation agriculture has been a significant factor increasing the sustainable development of agriculture in China over the past 20 years. The conference is an opportunity for the international community of researchers and practitioners to share this experience and discuss CA adoption on small-scale farms in the context of worldwide experience. The post-conference field trip will include visiting to the site of some of China's earliest large-scale no-till cropping trials and equipment manufacturers, allowing foreign participants to observe adoption of CA and the variety of small scale agricultural practices.
The conference is being jointly organized by China Agricultural University (CAU), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Department of Agricultural Mechanization Management of China Ministry of Agriculture (DAMM, MOA), the Shanxi Agricultural Mechanization Bureau (SAMB), the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering (CSAE), and the Conservation Tillage Research Center (CTRC) of China Ministry of Agriculture.
